Sweet Moments

Last night Mia came into our room to lay with us because she was scared. While she was laying with us I vaguely remember a couple of conversations. At one point she woke me up to ask if she got lost and couldn't remember her phone number if Jesus would help her to remember it. I wasn't sure how to answer it, so I just told her (half asleep) that Jesus would probably help her to remember it but he also probably wants us to try to memorize our phone number. Later after I sent her back to her bed, she left then came back and asked if I would say a prayer for her because she was scared. I always have the kids say a prayer when they come to me when they have had a bad dream or are scared. We ask that Heavenly Father and Jesus will comfort them. It made me happy that she remembers and is starting to have faith in prayer. Even though I was half asleep last night, extremely tired and had her in my bed bed practically laying on top of me, it was a sweet moment.

Eddie {9 MONTHS}

Eddie had his 9 month check-up last week.
Here are the stats:
Weight-19 lbs (53 percentile)
Height- 28 inches (33 percentile)
The Doctor said he looks great. The only concern we had was about him wanting to eat again in the middle of the night, which the doctor said at this age a lot of babies get separation anxiety. So basically we just have to let him cry it out because he should be able to sleep through the night without eating. He has been doing well since the doctor appointment and has only woke up once in the middle of the night.
Eddie can now stand up holding onto furniture, climb up the stairs (ugh), clap, wave hi, say mama and dada and pick up food with his pincher fingers. He loves to be sung to and loves attention from his brother and sister. He is absolutely terrified of swings and doesn't like bread (I have no idea why). He still cries every I put him in the car seat and when I wipe his face after each meal. We love Eddie so much and can't believe how old he is already. I can't wait to watch him grow more and start seeing more and more what his personality is like!

Press Here

I'm always on the lookout for fun books the kids might like. My friend told me about a book she checked out at the library called "Press Here". We ventured to the library and found the book. We loved it!! It was so cute and fun. I love books where the kids can interact. You should definitely check to see if your library has this book. Hey, I might even buy it.

Diaper Rash

For those of you who have babies in diapers I just thought I'd share a baby item that I love.

BOUDREAUX`S RASH PROTECTOR SPR 2 OZ

It says it's a rash protector to use daily to protect from diaper rash but I just use it whenever Eddie starts to get a little diaper rash. I love it because it is spray and you don't have to put diaper rash cream on your fingers. It's a little more expensive, but I think it is worth it to not have to get your fingers dirty. I bought it at Target, but I am sure they sell it wherever they sell baby items.

Blue Stripe

Today after I finished getting myself and three kids ready for church (by myself! Chris had to go to work unexpectedly) I noticed that I had accidentally dressed them all in blue and white stripes. I thought it was pretty funny and totally unintentional.

The kids just love Eddie to death. They smother ALL DAY LONG. Eddie has been getting four of his top teeth in for about a month now and they still have not broken through. I hope they break through soon to give the little guy some relief. Ezekiel will just be relieved when he stops drooling so much. It grosses him out.

FOUR months

Yesterday was Eddie's 4 month check-up. He got three shots and wasn't too happy about it. He weighed 12 lbs 7oz and was 24 1/2 inches tall. The doctor said his weight is kind of staying the same, so we need to feed him a couple more ounces a day. She also prescribed some Zantac for him because he has had a nasty cough for the last month and it gets worse at night. She said it might be due to acid reflux. The Zantac will also hopefully help with spitting up so he can keep those extra ounces down. Other than that he is totally healthy and perfect baby.
Eddie is starting to grab toys and is getting pretty good at it. He loves music and loves to be sung to. He will even start coo along, it's the cutest thing. He is getting better at tummy time and is starting to lift his head pretty high. He now gets his last feeding at 10 pm and sleeps until 7:30am. YIPEE!! Eddie is such a sweet little guy.We are so happy he is in our lives and that we have another little person to give our love to.

Two Months

Eddie had his two month check-up yesterday. It's hard to believe it's been two months! He is doing very well, in fact, the doctor said he is absolutely perfect. He weighs a whopping 11 lbs 7 oz and is 22 1/4 inches tall. He has really started to fill out and get some of that baby fat on him. He got 3 shots and didn't like them at all, but who does? He is starting to smile all the time! I love it when babies first start to smile.  I think I still almost cry every time he does!

Show me those Dimples

I love my little Ezekiel. He is so full of life and fun. I have been getting nervous for him to start school this August, but I am also pretty excited! I am going to miss him so much especially since he has all day kindergarten and he will be gone from 9-4 everyday. (Tear)

It has been super warm here the last couple of days. It has been so nice to get out of the house and let the kids play outside. Today the kids were riding their bikes (thanks Uncle Ian!) on the driveway and I decided to pull out the camera and take some pictures. I was trying to get a shot of Ezekiel and I told him, "let's see those dimples"; he has really cute dimple on both cheeks. So this is what he did when I told him that:

He thought I meant nipples not dimples

I just can't get enough of this kid. He put's a smile on face everyday!

Weekend in Utah

This past weekend we went to Utah for my nephew's baptism. We also decided to bless Eddie the same weekend in Utah because all my family was already there. It was so nice to see family and friends while we were there, even though it seemed the time went way to fast.

I don't know what we were thinking, but we didn't get any pics of Eddie in his blessing outfit. Eddie did pretty good for the blessing and didn't cry too hard during it. Chris was nervous, but he did a great job. We are so blessed to have little Eddie in our lives.

Here's a couple of pictures from the weekend:

This weekend was the first time my family got to meet Eddie.

No Shots!

Yesterday Ezekiel and Mia had their yearly well child checkups. With Ezekiel starting school this year I thought for sure he would be getting a couple of shots. In fact I was so sure that I bribed them with ice cream days before the appointment. But they lucked out, no shots! I guess since Ezekiel got all of his immunizations at his 4 year old check up that's all he needs for school. They even got lucky on the flu shot, they got the kind they suck in through the nose. Besides an appointment to be made to the dermatologist for some moles on Ezekiel, everything went great and kids are healthy!

Here are the kids waiting at the doctor

Another Basketball Player in the Fam??

Ezekiel has been loving playing basketball with Chris. And I am proud to say it looks like he has pretty good form!

Our Family Blog

I've decided to start this family blog since we live so far away from family now. I hope to keep up with this as much as I can.
The top header picture will be changed once we get a real family picture, but for now that little crying baby has pretty much taken over our entire life, so I thought it was appropriate. We love Little Eddie so much!
